UNC Men's Golf Team in first place after two rounds at the Duke Golf Classic

Durham, N.C. - The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is leading host school, Duke by six strokes after two rounds of play at the Duke Golf Classic. Carolina shot a 576 on the par-72 course.
In the individual race, Tar Heel junior Dustin Bray owns a two stroke lead over Michigan State's Matt Harmon(72-66-138) and Toledo's Justin Bertsch(69-69-138). He posted a first round one-under-par 71 followed by a seven-under-par 65 to finish the day at eight-under 136. Virginia Tech's Joel Kraner holds down the four spot after shooting a three-under 141 Fellow Tar Heel Ted Smith is tied with three other competitors at one-under-par 144 to round out the top five.
In addition to Bray and Smith, four other UNC players competed in the tournament. Freshman Kevin Silva is tied for 22nd with a four-over 148; freshman Martin Ureta is tied for 31st at six-over 150; and freshman Will Dottley is tied for 48th at nine-over 153. Junior Matt Crenshaw is also is playing as an individual, and he shot a 12-over 156.
The third and final round will be played Monday. The Duke Golf Classic is being played on the par 72, 7,045-yard at Duke Golf Club in Durham, N.C.
