Carolina Golfer Dustin Bray Tied For 24th Place

El Paso, Tex. - Dustin Bray, a senior on North Carolina's golf team, finished in a tie for 24th place at the 29th annual Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic. Bray fired rounds of 71-72-72 for a two-over 215 total. Chris Nallen of Arizona captured the championship with a 17-under 196 total after firing rounds of 66-63-67 to finish six strokes ahead of UNLV's Ryan Moore who carded a 202 after rounds of 67-67-68. Nallen's 196 total ties the tournament record held by former Arizona teammate Ricky Barnes, who carded a 196 to win the 2000 All-America Golf Classic.
ray, from Asheboro, N.C., won two tournament titles this fall to become the winningest Tar Heel in school history with seven tournament championships. He concluded Carolina's fall campaign with a 71.91 stroke average to lead the Tar Heels.
The All-America Golf Classic, hosted by the Sun Bowl Association, was played at the El Paso Country Club which features a par 71, 6,781-yard layout.
