No. 14 UNC Hosts Clemson Sunday At 2 p.m.

Tipoff
The North Carolina women's basketball team plays its second Atlantic Coast Conference game of the season on Sunday, hosting Clemson for a 2 p.m. tipoff at Carmichael Auditorium.
North Carolina (11-1, 1-0 ACC) is ranked 14th in both the Associated Press poll and the coaches' poll. Clemson (11-1, 1-0) is receiving votes in both polls.
Sunday's game is UNC's last game at home for more than two weeks. Coming up for the Tar Heels are road games at NC State (Jan. 8), Duke (Jan. 11) and Maryland (Jan. 19). The next home game is on Jan. 22 against Georgia Tech.
On the air
Sunday's game will be broadcast live by the Tar Heel Radio Network. The women's basketball network encompasses 17 stations, including WCHL-AM 1360, the flagship station. Jones Angell will handle the play-by-play and Adam Pohl will provide color commentary.

Tickets
Tickets to UNC women's basketball games are $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors. There is no charge for admission for children 12 and under.
North Carolina students, faculty and staff are admitted free with their UNC One Cards.

Scouting the Clemson Lady Tigers
The Clemson Lady Tigers are 11-1 on the season and 1-0 in the ACC following a 58-55 win at Virginia on Friday night. Three players scored in double figures led by senior guard Lakeia Stokes with 17 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Senior forward/center Maggie Slosser scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds and senior forward/guard Julie Aderhold added 11 points. Clemson shot 44.4 percent in the first half to lead 28-19 at the break and held on for the win despite a 34.5 second-half shooting percentage. The Lady Tigers outrebounded the host Cavaliers 36-31.
Clemson's only loss of the season came 61-58 at Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 26 in the Great Alaska Shootout.
On the season, Stokes leads the team with 18.7 points per game and is the team's top rebounder with 8.3 per game.
Also scoring in double figures are Slosser (11.1), Aderhold (11.0) and sophomore guard Julie Talley (10.8).
In the most recent ACC statistics (heading into the games of Jan. 2), Stokes led the league in rebounding and ranked second in scoring. As a team, Clemson ranked second in three-pointers per game and third in scoring, rebounding, free throw percentage and blocks.
The Lady Tigers are coached by Jim Davis, who is in his 17th year at the helm of the Clemson program.
The Clemson-North Carolina series
Sunday's game will be the 65th women's basketball meeting between Clemson and North Carolina. UNC leads the series 38-26 after winning the last five matchups and eight of the last nine.
The Tar Heels won all three games last season, including a 70-66 victory in Chapel Hill on Feb. 16, 2003. The most recent meeting was an 80-71 UNC win in the ACC quarterfinals on March 8, 2003.

No. 8 North Carolina 70, Clemson 66
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Coretta Brown scored 19 points and Candace Sutton added a season-high 18 as UNC beat Clemson 70-66 at Carmichael Auditorium. Nikita Bell came off the bench to score 15 points, including eight in a row during a span of just over two minutes in the second half.
The score was tied at 42-42 at halftime after both teams shot 50 percent from the field. In the second half, Clemson fought to a three-point lead (54-51) with 14:39 to play. That's when Bell came into the game and went on her run, putting UNC back up 59-55 with 1:37 to play.
Clemson pulled back within three, 69-66, with 1:28 on a three-pointer by Chrissy Floyd, who led all scorers with 27 points. Brown hit a free throw with 4 seconds remaining for the final score.
Julie Aderhold added 12 points for Clemson. The Lady Tigers outrebounded UNC 48-35 overall and 20-8 on the offensive boards.
