Tar Heels Finish Thirteenth At Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Carolina Men's golf team shot a third round score of 296 at Forest Heights Country Club on Sunday, placing them thirteenth among the fifteen teams in the field. The University of Florida finished first with a five under par final score of 859, which put them ten strokes ahead of second place Georgia.
Freshman Martin Ureta, of Santiago, Chile, was the top finishing Tar Heel with a one under par final score of 215 to come in tied with Florida's Jessie Mudd at the eighth spot. Senior captain Dustin Bray shot the Tar Heels' lowest score, 74, on the third day to complete the tournament tied for 37th.
The Tar Heels return to action when travel to Augusta, Georgia, to compete in the Cleveland Golf/ASU Invitational beginning Saturday, April 3.
