DALLAS, Texas --- North Carolina (32-3) will look to advance to its third straight regional final when the Tar Heels meet George Washington Sunday night at Reunion Arena in Dallas Carolina advanced to the regional semifinals with a 60-51 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday night. George Washington (28-3), an at-large qualifier from the Atlantic 10, defeated fourth-seeded Texas A&M 59-47 in Tuesday's second round. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 2 in the nation in both the AP poll and the coaches poll. George Washington is No. 14 in the AP poll and No. 13 in the coaches poll.

GEORGE WASHINGTON SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 2-1 all-time against George Washington with two of the three matchups coming in NCAA Tournament play.
UNC defeated GW 71-47 in the NCAA second round in 2005 in Chapel Hill, while the Colonials won 55-46 in the regional semifinals in Columbia, S.C., in 1997.
CAROLINA IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
UNC is playing in the tournament as a No. 1 seed for the fourth time in school history and the third season in a row. Carolina was also a No. 1 seed in 1997.
Carolina improved to 12-3 all-time in the second round with its win over Notre Dame Tuesday.
The Tar Heels are now 15-16 all-time in NCAA Tournament games played away from Chapel Hill.
UNC is 4-8 all-time in regional semifinal games, with wins in 1994, 1998, 2005 and 2006.
Carolina is now 31-13 in NCAA Tournament play in 15 total appearances under coach Sylvia Hatchell. UNC now has an all-time NCAA record of 33-17 in 19 overall appearances and was the 1994 NCAA Champion.
