Two Tar Heels To Play In U.S. Amateur

Two Carolina golfers, Martin Ureta and Henry Zaytoun III, will tee off at the 107th U.S. Amateur Monday at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. Ureta, who just completed his senior year at UNC, will be participating in the U.S. Amateur for the third time. He also played in the 2005 and 2003 Amateurs. Zaytoun, an incoming freshman for the Tar Heels, is playing in his second consecutive U.S. Amateur.
Stoke play qualifying will be played on both the Lakeside Course, a par 70, 6,948-yard layout, and the Ocean Course, a par 70, 6,786-yard layout. Match play, which begins Wednesday, will take place on the Lakeside Course.
Ureta tees off Monday at 11:20 EDT off the 1st tee of the Ocean Course while Zaytoun will tee off at 3:45 EDT off the 1st tee of the Lakeside Course. Ureta is paired with Lion Kim and E.J. Wholey while Zaytoun will play with J.J. Wood and Phillip Mollica. In Tuesday's second round, Zaytoun will tee off at 10:30 EDT off the 10th tee on the Ocean Course while Ureta will begin at 4:35 EDT off the 10th tee of the Lakeside Course.
