The North Carolina men's lacrosse team moved to 2-0 on the season by winning at Denver 6-4 Saturday afternoon. Gavin Petracca had two goals for the Tar Heels to lead the scoring and Grant Zimmerman made 10 saves while allowing only four goals. Zimmerman has allowed only six goals in 105 minutes of play this year. The Tar Heels had to overcome travel problems getting to Denver on Friday with half the team not arriving in the Mile High City until 2 a.m. Saturday. Game time was 1:30 p.m. UNC will now have eight days to prepare for 2007 NCAA quarterfinalist Cornell which visits Fetzer Field Sunday, March 2 for a 1 p.m. game. The Big Red beat Navy 8-7 in overtime Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y.
