CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-This week's UNC men's lacrosse podcast features a pair of UNC's talented sophomore class member, attackman Marcus Holman and midfielder Greg McBride. Both attended the Gilman School in Baltimore prior to coming to Carolina, playing on an MIAA championship team as seniors there.
Holman, whose father Brian Holman is an assistant coach at UNC, and McBride became friends about 10 years ago when they played on rec league lacrosse in Baltimore under the tutelage of Marcus' father. The two went on to play together for UNC alumnus Brooks Matthews at the Gilman School.
Holman and McBride were a key part of a UNC team which went 13-3 last year, earning the most wins by a Tar Heel team since 1993. They figure to be key players on a UNC which began fall ball this week and will face a challenging 2011 docket beginning in February.
