CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--The 2012 University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team is ranked sixth nationally in the preseason by both the USILA coaches poll and the Nike Inside Lacrosse media poll.
UNC will scrimmage 2011 NCAA semifinalist Denver this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Navy Field in its first taste of outside competition this spring. The Tar Heels open the 2012 regular season on Saturday, February 11 at 1 p.m. when they play Penn State at Kennesaw, Ga. UNC will play Mercer at the Lovett School in Atlanta on Sunday, February 12 at 1 p.m. on its trip to Georgia.
