Tar Heels Head To Florida State In Search Of A Win

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --- North Carolina heads back out on the road Wednesday when the Tar Heels face Florida State at 7 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Carolina enters the contest 17-8 on the year and 7-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference after a 56-54 loss to Georgia Tech Sunday afternoon. Florida State is 13-13 and 5-7 in the ACC following a 67-57 loss to Duke on Sunday. Both teams are unranked.

FLORIDA STATE SERIES NOTES
North Carolina is 29-9 all-time against Florida State, including a 13-4 mark in Tallahassee.
Carolina won a pair of games against the Seminoles in 2011. The Tar Heels scored an 84-75 victory in Tallahassee and claimed a 78-65 win in the ACC Tournament in Greensboro.
UNC and FSU will only meet once in the regular season in 2012, the eighth straight year in which the two
have played just a single regular-season game.
Florida State defeated Carolina in its first ACC game against the Tar Heels, but the Noles have won just six times in 34 tries since.
