Tar Heels Head To Florida State In Search Of A Win

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --- North Carolina heads back out on the road Wednesday when the Tar Heels face Florida State at 7 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Carolina enters the contest 17-8 on the year and 7-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference after a 56-54 loss to Georgia Tech Sunday afternoon. Florida State is 13-13 and 5-7 in the ACC following a 67-57 loss to Duke on Sunday. Both teams are unranked.

FLORIDA STATE SERIES NOTES
• North Carolina is 29-9 all-time against Florida State, including a 13-4 mark in Tallahassee.
• Carolina won a pair of games against the Seminoles in 2011. The Tar Heels scored an 84-75 victory in Tallahassee and claimed a 78-65 win in the ACC Tournament in Greensboro.
• UNC and FSU will only meet once in the regular season in 2012, the eighth straight year in which the two
have played just a single regular-season game.
• Florida State defeated Carolina in its first ACC game against the Tar Heels, but the Noles have won just six times in 34 tries since.
