As part of Sunday's Faculty-Staff Day, the UNC Employee Forum will be holding a food drive to benefit the Have a Heart Campaign. Fans are asked to donate any non-perishable food item in barrels at the main Carmichael entrance as well as the north entrance. Donations will benefit the Inter-Faith Council (IFC).
Each year the Staff Assembly, which is comprised of representatives from each of the 17 system schools and General Administration, engages in a month of service called the Have a Heart Campaign. Food drives on every campus to help replenish local food banks. Last year the collective efforts of the campaign helped the North Carolina School of Math and Science break the Guinness Book of World Records for a single day food drive.
So take the opportunity to help the local community with a non-perishable food donation and help fight hunger before helping the Tar Heels beat Duke!
