Collegiate Baseball Tabs Newcomers No. 8

The incoming class for the North Carolina baseball team has been ranked No. 8 in Collegiate Baseball's annual rankings released this week.
The Tar Heels are one of three ACC teams in the top 10 along with Clemson (No. 5) and Miami (No. 9).
Carolina welcomed in 17 newcomers this fall, a group that includes 15 freshmen, one junior college transfer and one four-year college transfer.
The Tar Heels are going through fall scrimmages before the annual Fall World Series set for Oct. 8-10, 12-14 and 16.
Fans will have a chance to check out the 2013 Tar Heels this weekend as Saturday's scrimmage will be open to the public. First pitch is set for 12 noon.
