Holman Named National Rookie Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina freshman attacker Sydney Holman is the first WomensLax.com national rookie of the week for 2014, the website announced this week.
Holman made her collegiate debut against fourth-ranked Florida last weekend, totaling five goals and two assists in a 20-8 Carolina victory.

"... Holman, a North Carolina native, tied senior Abbey Friend with 7 points on the day ... Holman's early success may not have come as a surprise, as she was named Inside Lacrosse's 5th-ranked incoming freshman. At East Chapel Hill High School, Holman was a 3-time US Lacrosse and Academic All-American, four-time team MVP, and led her team to a State Championship in 2013."
