DeShields & Gray's Friendship Continues At UNC

Diamond DeShields and Allisha Gray's longtime friendship dates back to middle school when they played together for the first time on an AAU club team.
The decision was made long ago that they wanted to play college basketball together. When Sylvia Hatchell and her coaching staff began recruiting these talented players from the state of Georgia, the choice became clear that Carolina was the ideal place for their up-tempo style of basketball.
DeShields and Gray have become two of the top first-year players in the Atlantic Coast Conference as the leading scorers for the Tar Heels.
