ACC Home and Away Opponents Set For '14-15
May 6, 2014 | Women's Basketball
Each of the ACC's 15 schools has two permanent schedule partners (Duke and NC State for Carolina) and will play six teams at home only and the remaining six schools only on the road.
In 2014-15, Carolina will host Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Virginia and Wake Forest. The Tar Heels will travel to Clemson, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
UNC will play at Louisville, which is joining the ACC next season, for the first time ever. The Tar Heels are 3-0 against the Cardinals in three previous neutral court games, the last coming in the NCAA Regional Semifinals in 2008.
Carolina will face Notre Dame for the first time ever in Chapel Hill after the two played this past season in South Bend, Ind. The first three games in the all-time series were played on a neutral court.
The Tar Heels will play at Syracuse for just the second time in program history. Carolina won 81-68 in the only previous meeting in Upstate New York on Nov. 19, 2000.
The 2014 ACC/B1G Challenge schedule will be announced later this summer.
