(Pringle) Sanders To Play For Turkey at FIBA Championship

This is the first time she will represent Turkey in a FIBA competition. Sanders has played well this summer leading up to the FIBA World Championship.
Turkey won bot the Zafer Cup and the Ankara Preparation Tournament in the lead up to the FIBA competition.
At the Ankara tournament she had 16 points and nine rebounds in a win over Czech Republic on Sept. 3, and had eight points and 11 boards in the same tournament in a victory over Belarus the day before.
Turkey opens the tournament against defending EuroBasket Women and Olympic silver medallist France in Group B on September 27 at Ankara Arena. Turkey will also face Canada and Mozambique in the first round.
Turkey enters the tournament on the heels of a series of international successes, including back-to-back medals at EuroBasket Women and a fifth-pace finish at the 2012 Olympic Games.
