Kea, Bailey Named Preseason All-ACC
October 23, 2018 | Women's Basketball
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Paris Kea and Janelle Bailey of the North Carolina women's basketball team have been named on the Preseason All-ACC Team, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Kea lands on the Preseason All-ACC team for the second year in a row. The Greensboro, N.C., native has gained plenty of fan fair leading up to her senior campaign in Chapel Hill, having already been named to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list for the top point guard in the nation and a Preseason third-team All-American by Street & Smith's magazine.
Kea averaged 19.4 points and 4.8 assists per game as a junior.
Bailey enters her second collegiate season after earning 2018 ACC Freshman of the Year honors a season ago. The Charlotte, N.C., product was far and away the top rookie last year in the ACC, averaging 15.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
Carolina and defending-national champion Notre Dame (four) are the only two schools to place multiple players on the Preseason All-ACC Team.
