UNC Hosts FSU Sunday In ACC Home Opener

GAME PROMOTIONS
Sunday will be a fun-filled day at Carmichael Arena that features numerous promotions surrounding the Florida State game that has been deemed Social Media, Shag and Kids Day. The first 500 fans will receive a Bitmoji Rally Towel to support Social Media Day. Shag dancing will take place at halftime, while Kids Day includes free kids meals to the first 150 kids (under high-school age) in attendance, and face painting will be available through halftime.Â
Postgame autographs will also take place in the main lobby.Â

Janelle Bailey and Stephanie Watts each scored 16 points and North Carolina nearly pulled off an upset of No. 3 Louisville, who prevailed 73-66 on Thursday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener from KFC Yum! Center. Carolina trailed by 19 points, but an 18-4 run got the Heels within two points on four separate occasions in the fourth quarter, but could not get over the hump with the Cardinals placing five players in double figures. Paris Kea scored all 13 of her points in the second half to lead the comeback after Carolina trailed 40-23 at halftime. Taylor Koenen added 11.

• Stephanie Watts is 9th in the league with 15.8 ppg and ranks 2nd with 3.3 3FG per game.
