Tar Heels Will Meet Duke In ACC Semifinal Friday Night

• North Carolina will meet Duke for a third time this season when the two teams meet in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Friday at 9:20 p.m. ESPN and Raycom will televise the game.
• Carolina is 27-5 overall, including 17-2 against ACC competition.
• The Tar Heels are playing in the ACC semifinals for the fifth consecutive year and the 51st time in 66 seasons. Carolina is 35-15 in the semifinals.
• This is Roy Williams' 13th time in the ACC semifinals in 16 seasons (is 8-4 in the semifinals).
• UNC is 175-19 in Charlotte, including 22-7 in ACC Tournament games and 14-1 in the Spectrum Center.
• Luke Maye has tied the UNC record for playing in the most ACC wins. Maye has played in 59 ACC wins – 52 in the regular season and seven in the ACC Tournament. Nate Britt and Isaiah Hicks also played in 59 ACC wins from 2013-17.
• Carolina's top three scorers are Cameron Johnson (16.8), Coby White (16.4) and Luke Maye (14.8). This is the first time since the national championship season of 2009 when UNC's top three scorers averaged as much as 14.8 per game. The top scorers in 2009 were Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington.
• Carolina leads the ACC scoring, rebounding, rebound margin and assists, is second in three-pointers made per game and assist-turnover ratio, and third in offensive rebounds and three-point percentage.
• UNC leads the nation in rebounding, is second in assists and rebound margin and third in scoring. No other team in the nation is in the top 10 in scoring, rebound margin and assists.
• Johnson (85) and White (76) have combined for 161 three-pointers, fifth most by any duo in UNC history.

• The Tar Heels beat No. 1 Duke, 88-72, in Durham on February 20; Carolina beat the Blue Devils last Saturday (March 9), 79-70 in Chapel Hill.
• Carolina won at Cameron Indoor Stadium and the Dean E. Smith Center in the same season for the first time since 2009.
