Seven Tar Heels Named To All-ACC Academic Team For Men’s Lacrosse

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Seven members of Head Coach Joe Breschi's 2019 University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team were named Thursday afternoon to the 2019 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team.
UNC's honorees included junior midfielder Justin Anderson (team captain), senior long-stick midfielder Jack Halpert, freshman short-stick defensive midfielder Connor Maher, freshman attackman Jacob Kelly, senior midfielder Timmy Kelly (team captain), sophomore midfielder Alex Trippi and freshman midfielder/face-off specialist Zachary Tucci.
All five of the league's men's lacrosse programs are represented on the All-ACC Academic Team.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
