11 Tar Heels Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

Chapel Hill -- Eleven members of the North Carolina gymnastics team have been recognized as 2018-2019 Scholastic All-Americans by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).Â
The 11 Scholastic All-Americans include: Drew Aldridge, Jamie Antinori, Mckenna Appleton, Jamie DeCicco, Leah Gneco, Khazia Hislop, Julianna Love, Emma Marchese, Mikayla Robinson, Mekyllah Williams and Mackenzie Austin.
The Tar Heels were also one of 31 teams with more than 56 percent of its student-athletes on the team with a 3.5 grade point average of higher. In order to receive the award from the WCGA, student-athletes had to maintain a 3.5 GPA for the 2018-2019 academic season.
