CHAPEL HILL – After two full weeks of practice, North Carolina will face its first opponent of the season as the Tar Heels host Coastal Carolina Saturday for a 5 p.m. exhibition in Carmichael Arena. UNC and the Chanticleers saw each other during the preseason in 2018 as well.

Doors open one hour prior to the match. Parking is available in the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot, Stadium Drive and the Bell Tower Deck.

Picked fifth in the preseason ACC poll, Carolina returns 12 with six newcomers to the 2019 squad. Most recently, the Tar Heels took the court for their annual Blue and White scrimmage that ended in a 2-2 draw. Six new Tar Heels took the court for the first time in Carolina Blue with redshirt-freshman Lauren Harrison making her debut in her second season on campus.

The Tar Heels begin the regular season Aug. 30-31 with the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Chapel Hill.
