Cross Country Set For Season's Second Meet

The North Carolina men's and women's cross country teams return to action on Wednesday morning for their second race of the fall, taking on Duke, NC State and Virginia at the Wolfpack Invite.
Action will take place at WakeMed Cross Country Course in Cary, N.C. Due to Covid restrictions, there are no spectators allowed at the race site, but fans can follow live results here.

In their first meet of the season, on Sept. 25, the Tar Heels raced in the rain at the Virginia Invite in Earlysville, Va. The Carolina women took first with freshman Sasha Neglia leading the field in her first collegiate race and earning national and ACC honors for her performance. Â

Wednesday's race will give the Tar Heels a second look at the Cavaliers as they face the Blue Devils and Wolfpack for the first time this fall.

Racing for the UNC men will be Patrick Anderson, Ryan Combs, Will Coogan, Max DiMuccio, Jake McEneaney, Michael Spragley, John Tatter and Marshall Williamson.

Racing for the UNC women are Mady Clahane, Emmeline Fisher, Kelsey Harrington, Lindsey Lanier, Sasha Neglia, Taryn Parks, Camryn Petit and Sarah Trainor.
