Chris Gray has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

For the third time in this season's five opportunities, Tar Heel attackman Chris Gray has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The latest honor was announced on Wednesday by the league.

Gray, a senior from Wading River, N.Y., is coming off the highest points total of his time as a Tar Heel, with six goals and four assists in UNC's 16-8 win over Mercer. Gray scored four of his goals, including the game-winner, in the first half.

The 10-point game matches his career high, achieved on two occasions during his time at Boston University 2018-19. His previous high as a Tar Heel was nine points.

This season, he has 24 goals and 16 assists, both team highs, in the Tar Heels' six games.

UNC (6-0) is ranked in the top three in all three national polls and opens ACC play Thursday evening at Virginia. The game starts at 7 p.m. and will air live on the ACC Network.
