USTFCCCA Honors Tar Heels For Academic Performance

Eighteen Tar Heels and both the men's and women's track and field teams have earned academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Both the men's and women's teams earned All-Academic Team status in recognition of maintaining team grade point averages of 3.0 or better.
Â
Individuals earned honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better and either a top 96 finish in a championship event during the indoor season or participation in the NCAA Championships or Preliminary Round during the outdoor season.

Members of the men's team who earned USTFCCA All-Academic honors are Jack Aho, Patrick Anderson, Alex Ostberg, Kyle Reinheimer, John Tatter, Tom Watson, Parker Wolfe and Troy Yearwood.

Member of the women's team honored are Obiageri Amaechi, Brynn Brown, Ava Dobson, Alyssa Hernandez, Anna Keefer, Sasha Neglia, Emerson Porter, Jill Shippee, Sarah Trainor and Natalie Tyner.
