The Lead: The reigning national champion North Carolina women's tennis team returns to the court to open the 2024 indoor season on Saturday. To kick off the 2024 indoor campaign, the Tar Heels will face the Elon Phoenix on Saturday before hosting the Campbell Fighting Camels on Monday.

- North Carolina will begin its run for a fifth straight ITA Indoor Championship in 2024.
- North Carolina is ranked first in the ITA's initial rankings. In addition, seven individuals and four doubles teams are ranked.
- UNC returns nine of its ten members from last season's championship team.
- Fiona Crawley is four wins away from entering the Top-5 on the all-time victory list at UNC. She currently sits at 124.
- This past December, Fiona Crawley was a member of Team USA when the Americans won the Masters'U PNB Paribas Tournament in France.
- Sophomore Reese Brantmeier swept the 2023 ITA Fall Championships this past fall. She won the singles title and followed it up with winning the doubles title with partner Elizabeth Scotty. In addition, Abbey Forbes and Reilly Tran won the doubles consolation tournament at the 2023 ITA Fall Championships.
- This past summer, Crawley qualified for the 2023 US Open main draw after three qualifying round victories.
- Carson Tanguilig received a main draw wild card bid to the 2023 US Open with doubles partner Fiona Crawley following the duo's NCAA Doubles championship.
- Following her performance last season, Anika Yarlagadda was named the ITA's Most Improved Senior Award Winner.
