Shoes 4 Hope
• North Carolina men's and women's lacrosse is teaming up with UNC Children's Hospital for the fight against pediatric cancer. Both teams will be hosting their first Shoes 4 Hope game this Saturday.
• The Shoes 4 Hope doubleheader is part of Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide initiative that empowers coaches, their teams and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Patients at UNC Children's Hospital painted Nike sneakers for the Tar Heel coaches and staff to wear during Saturday's doubleheader. Earlier this month, several UNC lacrosse players, coaches and staff members visited the hospital to paint shoes with the kids.
• The shoes are up for auction to support Pediatric Hematology Oncology at UNC Children's. All proceeds and donations benefit local children fighting cancer. The auction officially closes on April 22.
• The auction can be found here. Bidding starts at $150.
Dogs at Dorrance
• Saturday's game marks UNC Lacrosse's second annual Dogs at Dorrance doubleheader. There will be Carolina Lacrosse dog collars for the first 150 dogs in attendance.
• Fans who bring their dogs will be directed to sit in Sections 19 and 20 for both the men's and women's game.
