Men's Lacrosse Hosts Army On Military Appreciation Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina men's lacrosse team (6-3) hosts sixth-ranked Army (7-1) Saturday afternoon, on Military Appreciation Day at Dorrance Field.

Military Appreciation Day At Dorrance Field
• On Saturday, there are several pregame and in-game events played for the matchup between the Black Knights and Tar Heels.
• Pregame:
- Military Vehicle Setup in the BCBS Pavilion
- Golden Knights Jumping into the stadium (20:00 on the pre-game clock)
- Live anthem sung by Ms. North Carolina
- Apache Helicopter Flyover
• 1st/2nd Quarter Break:
- Golden Knights recognition
• Halftime:
- MacArthur Award Presentation (UNC ROTC)
- Soldier Swearing In Ceremony
• 3rd/4th Quarter Break:
- VIP recognitions - CPL Michael Natoli, Major General Brian Mennes, and Tom Cafaro

• On Saturday, the Tar Heels fell to in-state foe High Point, 12-11.
• Lance Tillman, Logan McGovern and Matt Wrede each scored two goals, with eight different goal scorers.

• In the previous win streak, the Tar Heels won four-straight while allowing nine-or-fewer goals during that streak for the first time since 2011.
• Through the first nine games, Carolina sits at seventh nationally in scoring defense, allowing 9.2 goals/game.
