Carolina Track & Field Teams Finish Strong At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina men's and women's track and field teams finished strong at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday, concluding their three-day stint at the meet hosted by NC State at the Paul Derr Track with a balanced performance. Among a highly competitive field of competitors, the Tar Heels secured 12Â top-ten finishes.
Headlined by Craig Saddler's impressive 2nd place finish in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 50:59, the team showcased its strength. Amari Taylor achieved a personal record in the Women's 200m.
In the Men's 4x400m relay event, Craig Saddler II, Andrew Regnier, Reece Morgan, and Trevor Paschall finished 5th with a strong time of 3:12.15, showcasing their prowess in a highly contested event.
Peyton Berryman triumphed in the Women's Pole Vault, clearing 3.95m to claim 1st place and set a personal record.  Berryman win was her second straight event win. She won the pole vault last week at the Phoenix Invitational. McKenna Brunick also excelled in the Women's Pole Vault, finishing 8th.
Megan Kelleghan participated in the Women's Pole Vault Invitational, securing 8th place, and demonstrating her skill among a select group of competitors.
Looking ahead, the Tar Heels will compete at the Miami Alumni Invitational and the Vertklasse Meeting hosted by High Point University on April 5-6.
