
Track & Field Finish Strong At Hurricane Alumni Invitational

Coral Gables, Fla. - The Carolina men's and women's track and field teams concluded the Hurricane Alumni Invitational with a strong showing at the Cobb Track, hosted by the University of Miami.
The Tar Heels boasted 10 top-five finishers, led by Craig Saddler II, who clinched victory in the men's 400m.
Max Stakun-Pickering secured a second-place finish with a triumph in the final event of the 1500m Decathlon, amassing an impressive total of 7223 points and solidifying his position among the top ten decathlon athletes in Tar Heel history, achieving the highest points tally since Mateo Sossah at the NCAA Championships in 2011.
Carolina's 4x400 relay team, comprising Trevor Paschall, Reece Morgan, Blaise Atkinson and Saddler, secured second place.
On the women's side, Danni Stoughton emerged victorious in the javelin throw in the Heptathlon, while Skylar Bohlman claimed victory in the women's shot put open division.
Sydney Banks tied her personal record in the high jump, securing fifth place. Additionally, on the women's side, freshmen Spencer Young, Aalyiah Berry, and Delea Martins delivered strong performances.
The Tar Heels will return to action closer to home as they compete in the Duke Invitational, hosted at Duke University's Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium.
