CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's lacrosse (6-5, 0-1 ACC) is set to host No. 9 Syracuse (9-4, 1-1 ACC) Saturday afternoon, with opening faceoff against the Orange set for 1 PM.Â

• The program will use its upcoming game against Syracuse, to spotlight the vital work of the SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals.Â
• Located only a mile from UNC Hospitals, the SECU Family House provides affordable lodging, meals, and a sense of community for families of adult patients receiving treatment at UNC Hospitals, allowing them to stay close to their loved ones during challenging times.
• During the game, there will be opportunities for attendees to learn more about Family House and to support its programs through various initiatives, including fundraising efforts and awareness campaigns.

• Against No. 2 Virginia on Saturday, freshman defenseman Peter Thomann had four caused turnovers and five ground balls, both career-highs.
• Over the past five seasons, Thomann and Will Bowen (2/15/2020 vs. Lafayette) are the only Tar Heel freshmen to have four-or-more caused turnovers and five-or-more ground balls in a single game.
• Thomann and Matt Wright (2020) are the only freshmen defensive players over the past five seasons with multiple games of 5+ ground balls.
