Men's Lacrosse, No. 2 Duke Meet Saturday On Senior Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina men's lacrosse program (6-7, 0-3 ACC) welcomes No. 2 Duke (11-3, 1-2 ACC) Saturday afternoon, on Senior Day at Dorrance Field.Â

Senior Day Festivities
• Prior to Saturday's matchup with the Blue Devils, the program will honor 22 members of the team on Senior Day.Â
• This year's graduating seniors include: Luca Antongiovanni, Maxwell Cooney, Trevor Deubner, Blake Gable, Andrew Geppert, Jack Grubbs, Hartley Jordan, Collin Krieg, Ethan Larson, Michael Lizzio, Jack Loftus, Logan McGovern, Colin Reilly, Brody Rule and Danny Striano.Â
• In addition, the program will recognize their fifth and sixth year players who took part in last season's Senior Day festivities: Alex Breschi, Ryan O'Leary, Will Pettit, Lance Tillman, Andrew Tyeryar, Harry Wellford and P.J. Zinsner.Â
Last Time Out
• On Saturday, the Tar Heels fell to No. 1 Notre Dame, 14-6.
• Logan McGovern and Harry Wellford each had two goals on the day.
• Andrew Tyeryar (6-10) and Brady Wambach (6-13) combined to win the faceoff battle.
• Goalkeeper Collin Krieg made eight stops.
Tar Heels vs. Top-Three
• Against teams ranked in the top-three, North Carolina is 35-83 all-time.
• The first matchup in program history against a top-three ranked program was on April 4, 1973, a 19-1 defeat to Maryland.
