CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Parks Harber homered and drove in four runs, and No. 10 North Carolina defeated No. 15 Virginia 12-7 in the series finale Saturday, earning its first win at Disharoon Park since 2018.

UNC (26-6, 11-5 ACC) led 6-1 after two innings, but Virginia (26-7, 9-6 ACC) methodically cut into the Tar Heels' lead, scoring two in the third and three in the sixth to tie it.

Harber homered to lead off the seventh, and Luke Stevenson belted a two-run shot, following a single to center by Alberto Osuna to put Carolina back on top, 9-6.

"They're going to play 27 outs," UNC head coach Scott Forbes said. "It doesn't matter what the score is, they're going to keep playing. They know we can come back."

Anthony Donofrio collected three hits and scored three times. His two-run homer off starter Kevin Jaxel made it 4-0 in the second. Casey Cook and Harber also drove in a run in the frame.

Harber also had three hits, Cook drove in three runs, and UNC improved to 4-2 on their current road trip, which concludes Tuesday, April 9, against No. 22 South Carolina at Truist Field in Charlotte.

The Tar Heels added three more runs in the eighth. They had two on with one out when Vance Honeycutt laid down a sacrifice bunt that scored Colby Wilkerson from second after Jay Woolfolk made an errant throw trying to get the out at third base. Cook was intentionally walked, and Harber singled through the drawn-in infield to make it 12-6.

Matt Poston (2-0) earned the win in 3.1 innings of relief, his longest outing of the season. He allowed one run and three hits, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Casey Sauke drove in a run for the Cavaliers in the eighth.

Aidan Teel (2-2) took the loss after he gave up three runs and three hits in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Jaxel allowed six runs and seven hits in two innings.
