Men's Golf Ninth At Sahalee

David Ford tied for eighth and the North Carolina men's golf team tied for ninth place Sunday in the final round of the Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish, Wash.
Arizona State ran away with the team title, shooting 7-under 857, 11 strokes better than runner-up Florida.
Carolina shot 297-292-297 for a 21-over 885 total.
Ford finished in the top 10 for the 20th time in his career as a Tar Heel. The senior from Peachtree Corners, Ga., posted 74-69-73 to finish even-par 216.
Oregon's Aiden Krafft shot 71-70-71 to win the individual title by one shot. Krafft closed at 4-under 212, one clear of Arizona State's Jose Luis Ballester and Preston Summerhays.
UNC freshman Grant Roscich, competing as an individual entry, tied for 29th. He shot 2-under 70 in his first college round on Saturday and finished 3-over 219 (70-77-73).
Maxwell Ford shot 7 over (77-73-73), Hampton Roberts was 8 over (74-75-75), Ethan Paschal finished 9 over (75-74-76) in his first college start and Keaton Vo shot 74-77-80.
The Tar Heels return to action September 20-22 at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational where they have won the two seasons.
