Men's Tennis Opens Homestand Saturday Vs. The Citadel

The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will begin a five-match homestand on Saturday when it hosts The Citadel in a doubleheader in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels and Bulldogs will play at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Chewning Tennis Center.
Saturday marks the first installment of five consecutive home matches for UNC, including the two matches against The Citadel and a meeting with 2024 NCAA Tournament participant South Carolina State to complete Carolina's non-conference schedule. On February 28 and March 2, the Tar Heels will wrap up the homestand by opening Atlantic Coast Conference play against Virginia Tech and Virginia.
Carolina is 4-3 this season and looking to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat at Georgia last Sunday. UNC has wins over James Madison, Charlotte, Campbell and NC Central in 2025.
The Citadel is 1-4 with a win over USC Sumter and losses to South Carolina, Clemson, Lees-McRae and Furman.
After Saturday's matches, Carolina will host South Carolina State on Thursday February 20.
