Wood & Bruk Earn All-America Honors At Fencing NCAAs

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The North Carolina men's fencing team finished day two at the National Championships, with Peter Bruk and Elden Wood earning All-America honors. Carolina is tenth as a team after men's team finished wrapped up today.
On the sabre side, Wood earned All-America honors. He finished 11th, earning twelve victories over the course of the two days, more than he did during last year's NCAA Championships when he finished twelfth.
For men's epee, Brayden Gyure finished in 19th, winning nine bouts on Thursday and Friday to close out his first NCAA Championship.
Sophia Kovacs competes tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. EST in women's sabre.
