Track Hits The Road For Meet In Blacksburg

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Fresh off the first track meet of the season last weekend, Carolina track will head to Blacksburg, Va, to compete at the Hokie Invitational Friday, Jan. 23 and 24.
Fans can follow along live on Flash Results. Carolina opened the season in December with select athletes, but last weekend's home meet was the first full-team event, and the Tar Heels absolutely dominated the Dick Taylor Challenge, winning double-digit events.
Carolina had a fantastic showing in the men's mile as they swept from first all the way to twelfth as six Tar Heel runners made their track debuts.
The women also dominated, taking the first six spots, as Reese Dalton (4:40) ran the 9th-fastest time in the NCAA and Brynn Brown (4:42.83) ran the 18th time after the flat track conversion.
