Gymnastics Readies For Pitt

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 13 University of North Carolina gymnastics is set to host Pitt in Carmichael Arena Friday at 7 p.m. The Tar Heels will face their second ACC competition of the season in the meet against the Panthers.
Last season, Carolina and Pitt met in Pittsburgh, Pa. where the Tar Heels picked up their second ACC win of the 2025 season, 196.150-195.050. In their last competition, UNC outscored Pitt in three of the four events (Vault, Bars, and Beam).
UNC heads into the matchup behind the leadership of Gwen Fink. The senior has been an anchor for the Tar Heels across all events as she ranks seventh in the NCAA for All-Around.
Sydney Seabrooks looks to continue leading the Tar Heels and nation this weekend with a dynamic floor routine. The freshman has recorded a 9.950 on floor in the first two meets of the season, including Carolina's recent home opener. The Clearwater, Fla. native is tied for first in the nation and leads the ACC on the event.
