Pietramala's Seven Goals Leads MLAX Over High Point, 20-9

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Dominic Pietramala's seven-goal performance led No. 8 North Carolina over High Point 20-9, Friday evening at Dorrance Field.
With the win, the Tar Heels improve to 2-0 on the season, while High Point falls to 1-1.
How It Happened
• The Tar Heels opened the game with a 5-1 burst in the opening quarter, as Dominic Pietramala paced the Tar Heels with two first-quarter goals.
• In the second, Carolina outscored the Panthers, 7-1, taking a 10-goal lead into the break, 12-2.
• Three goals courtesy of Pietramala and two Mason Szewczyk goals in the second quarter fueled the Tar Heels, with Ty English and Chase Cellucci each posting a score.
• After the break, High Point outscored the Tar Heels by one in the third quarter, 5-4. Two Brevin Wilson goals, and a score each from Pietramala and Anthony Raio put Carolina on the board in the period.
• Four different Tar Heels found the back of the net in the fourth quarter, securing the victory for the hosts.

• Owen Duffy posted a team-best four assists, along with his first goal of the season.
