No. 1 Women's Lacrosse To Host Louisville For Sunday Matinee

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 1 North Carolina women's lacrosse will host Louisville on Sunday at noon on Dorrance Field. The Tar Heels hold a 12-0 advantage in the all-time series with the Cardinals and will look to extend their winning streak to 26. Fans are invited to a postgame autograph session as well.
The Heels match-up with the Cardinals will be broadcast on ACCNX with Mike Guerriere and Andie Aldave on the call.

- The Tar Heels current 25-game winning streak is the longest in the nation. The 25-game streak is the third longest in program history and tied for the 10th longest in NCAA history.
- UNC continues to play one of the toughest schedules in the country. They have nine of the nation's Top 20 teams on this season's schedule.
- Carolina outscored its opponents 384-151 (+233) in 2025. The 384 goals were a single-season program record. Its 10.6 scoring margin per game ranked first nationally. UNC ranked first in both the ACC and NCAA in scoring offense at 17.5 goals per game.
- Carolina's defense held opponents to 6.9 goals per game in 2025, which ranked first in both the ACC and NCAA. The team only allowed four double-digit scoring efforts all year. UNC kept its opponent scoreless in 18 quarters across the 22 games, including the final three quarters of the NCAA Semifinal versus Florida.
- Nine Tar Heels were recognized on various preseason All-America teams led by first teamers Sam Forrest, Chloe Humphrey and Brooklyn Walker-Welch. In addition, Kate Levy, Kily Mottice, Betty Nelson, Eliza Osburn, Addison Pattillo and Ellie Traggio were all recognized.
- The nation's best player, Chloe Humphrey, returns for her sophomore season in 2026. The reigning Honda Sports Award for Lacrosse and Tewaaraton winner was dubbed preseason Player of the Year by USA Lacrosse. Humphrey finished her stellar redshirt freshman campaign with an NCAA record 90 goals to go along with 28 assists for 118 points. She went on to win multiple gold medals with Team USA in the summer and was named the MVP of the Atlas Cup. So far this season, Humphrey has 11 goals and six assists in three games.
- Kate Levy had a day at #13 Syracuse, posting career highs in goals (3), points (5) and caused turnovers (3). She followed that with another hat trick against Ohio St.
- Darcy Felter is off to a hot start this season with eight goals in the first three games. She opened by matching her career high with five goals at JMU and then added two at Syracuse.
- Kaleigh Harden has gobbled up draw controls over the first three games. Her seven draw controls per game entering the weekend were tied for 21st nationally and fourth in the ACC.
