Fencing Closes Out Regular Season With Beguinet Classic & Miller Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The men's and women's fencing teams will split up this weekend for the final event of the regular season.
The men's team will head to Duke University to fence at the Beguinet Classic on Saturday, February 6 in the Wilson Rec Center. The women's team will fence at home at the Eddie Smith Field House.
The team will honor the graduating senior class at 11:45 a.m. EST on Sunday. The event will be live-streamed on ACCNX.
Last Time Out:
The women's team swept the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational and is now on a nine-match winning streak. Head coach Matt Jednak earned his 200th career regular season win as Carolina went 8-2 on Sunday. The women are currently undefeated in 2026, highlighted by Katie McGillion-Moore's 19-2 start, including a 10-2 record on the weekend.
