WE WIN AGAIN!!! Tar Heels Top UCLA 2-1 To Win NCAA Title

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The North Carolina Tar Heels rallied for two goals in a seven-minute span in the game's final 15 minutes to take a 2-1 win over the UCLA Bruins Sunday afternoon at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, Calif. The win gives Carolina its 16th NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
After a scoreless first half, UCLA took a 1-0 lead on Lindsay Greco's goal off a Stephanie Rigamat assist with 35:45 left to play.
UNC came back to tie the game on a goal by Meredith Florance with 14:49 left to play. Alyssa Ramsey and Danielle Borgman assisted on the goal. Carolina then took the lead for good when a Tar Heel shot deflected off the leg of Bruin defender Krista Boling and rolled into the goal for an own goal with 7:41 remaining in the match.
Unofficially, Carolina had 15 shots to 5 for the Bruins while holding a large 12-2 margin in corner kicks.
Today's game was the first all season that UCLA gave up more than one goal.
