COLLEGE PARK, MD. - Led by University of North Carolina junior Jana Toepel, Southern Charm won the championship of the United Airlines Field Hockey League Sunday afternoon at College Park, Md. Southern Charm defeated the Midwest Cyclones 2-1 in the league final giving Southern Charm is second straight championship of the UAFHL.

Southern Charm is coached by UNC head coach Karen Shelton, who has piloted the Charm to each of its two league championships. UNC assistant coach Nick Conway serves as Shelton's assistant with the Southern Charm squad. The team features 10 current and former UNC players.

In Sunday's championship game, the Midwest Cyclones led 1-0 at the half but U.S. National Team member Toepel scored twice in the second half to lead the comeback win. She scored both goals off penalty corners.
