UNC Field Hockey Players Named To Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-Four University of North Carolina field hockey seniors have been named to the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) National Academic Squad, which requires a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better. Players also must be starters or key reserves.
Earning spots on the squad were Holly Huff, Kristen McCann, Kate Sidebottom and Jana Toepel, all of whom were seniors during the 2000 season and started for UNC in the national championship game. Carolina compiled a record of 20-4 last season and finished as the NCAA runner-up.
