UNC Men Golfers In Sixth Place At Mason Rudolph Championships

Franklin, Tenn. -- The University of North Carolina men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Mason Rudolph Championships with a team total of 567 leaving them at seven-over par and tied with the University of Mississippi for sixth place. North Carolina State leads the tournament with team scores of 277 and 276 for a two-round total of seven-under par 553.
Individual leaders are Codie Mudd of Mississippi State who finished the day at nine'over par 131 and Nick Rousey of Alabama who follows in second place with a total of six-under par 134.
Leading the Tar Heels is Dustin Bray who shot rounds of 67 and 68 for a blistering five-under par 135 and tied for third. Fellow Tar Heel Jeremy Elliott finished the day at two-over par 142 and tied for 23rd while Ramon Bescansa finished with a two round total of 146. Rounding out the UNC contingent is Matt Crenshaw at seven-over par 147 and Bob Cherry at 10-over par and tied for 53rd.
The Mason Rudolph Championships are being played at the Legends Club of Tennessee at the par 70, 6953 yard Roper's Knob Course. The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round. Teams tee off at 8 a.m. Central with a shotgun start.
