Throughout the 2002-03 season, senior forward Jennifer Thomas will provide TarHeelBlue.com readers with an inside look at the Carolina women's basketball program. This installment is her eighth of the season.
Hey everyone!!
I would first like to start my journal by thanking everyone who came out to the game on Monday. Even though losing to Duke was a tough pill to swallow, we really appreciated all of our fan support.
Well, enough about that, we're going to Michigan tomorrow!!! Yippie Skippie! Even though it's supposed to be about 10 degrees I'm excited to be playing back home. (We play at Western Michigan in Kalamazoo Thursday night.) This is the first time Carolina has ever played in the state of Michigan.
Besides that fact that we're going to my home state, things have been pretty busy around here. A lot of us have been busy trying to catch up on missed homework and also take care of things before we leave tomorrow. The month of January has been very strenuous. We have had a ton of away games and it seems as if we're missing the same days of school!! But, luckily my professors have been very understanding.
Right now it is 11:30 p.m. and I still have a paper to write - Gotta love being a student-athlete!!
Oh, before I forget, I would like to give a shout out to our coaching staff for allowing us to travel to Western Michigan, just so my family and friends could have an opportunity to see me play a college game close to home. If you guys happen to check out my journal, I am really appreciative.
Peace,
Jennifer
