Carolina's Dustin Bray Leads Seminole Intercollegiate

Tallahassee, Fla. - North Carolina junior Dustin Bray, from Asheboro, N.C., fired a five-under-par 67 to grab the lead after the first round of the Seminole Intercollegiate. Carolina fired a three-under 285 total and stands in third place, three shots behind co-leaders Tennessee and College of Charleston. Wake Forest is in fourth place with a 286 total while East Tennessee State is fifth at 289 and South Carolina is sixth at 290.
Wake Forest's Bill Haas and Tennessee's Ian Parnaby are one shot behind Bray in the individual race and tied for second place at four-under 68. Four players are knotted at 69 in a tie for fourth place - Tennessee's David Skinns, Alabama-Birmingham's Ryan Thomas, Charleston's Kyle Bradley and East Tennessee State's Chase Baldwin.
Carolina's Richard Treis is tied for eighth place after carding a two-under 70 while teammate freshman Kevin Silva is tied for 14th place at even par 72. Fernando Figueroa is tied for 45th place at 76 while Ramon Bescansa is tied for 58th at 77.
The second round was delayed Monday evening due to darkness and will be completed Tuesday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m. The final round will follow shorty there after. The tournament is being played at the Golden Eagle Country Club, a par 72, 6,847-yard layout.
