Dear Carolina,
What's up in North Carolina? Everything is great over here in Europe. The weather is wonderful and the people are cool also.
Well, I had a great time today. We visited some cathedrals and saw naked statues, and that was really funny. After visiting the historic places, I had a lot of time to shop. That's what I did - shopped for four hours straight. I have never been shopping for four hours in my life, and I don't think it's going to happen again anytime soon. Mostly I shopped in the markets on the streets and that was the coolest. I saw a lot of pretty things, such as clothes, watches, shoes and bags. The most important things I was interested in were the bags - they had some really beautiful ones. Well, I saw this bag I wanted to buy and I asked the man how much he wanted for it. He said $100. I told him he was crazy so he said, "OK, $75." I said he was still crazy, but the best part is that he didn't know that was all part of my strategy. Finally he asked me how much I would pay and I told him $20. He said, "no, no, no." So, I said OK and walked away, laughing. He ran me down and said, "OK, $20 will do." I was saying to myself, "That's how you do it, girl."
Well, I'm about to go to sleep. We leave for Rome in the morning and that should be exciting, but Florence is the place to be right now!
