Field Hockey Victorious In Ann Arbor

The UNC field hockey team opened the 2007 season Saturday with a 3-1 win at Michigan in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. In her first game back in a Tar Heel uniform after taking last year away from UNC to represent the U.S., Rachel Dawson scored twice. Jesse Gey, last year's team MVP, also had a goal. Freshman Katelyn Falgowski added an assist in her first college action.
The Tar Heels' second game of the weekend is Sunday morning against Iowa, a 3-0 winner over Wake Forest in Satuday's early game.
