Tar Heel Trio Named To NFHCA Academic Squad

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina field hockey players Casey Burns, Elizabeth Drazdowski and Louise McNutt have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad for the 2008 season, announced Monday. Selection to the squad requires a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the fall 2008 semester. All three Tar Heels were honored for the second year in a row.
urns, who is working toward a double major in political science and Spanish, is from Chapel Hill.
Drazdowski, a communication studies major, is from Mountain Top, Pa.
McNutt, a business administration major, is from Austin, Texas.
urns and Drazdowski were sophomores in eligibility during the 2008 season but are juniors academically. McNutt was a redshirt freshman in 2008 and is a sophomore academically.
